High-rise project AND Office in Istanbul receives Cityscape Global’s Commercial Project Award (Future). Jury recognizes depth of planning and detailing as well as spatial flexibility of the 26-storey A+ tower. HPP’s first project in Turkey is currently under construction.
Düsseldorf/Istanbul, 25 September 2014. During the official ceremony at Burj Khalifa, Dubai on Monday, 22 September 2014, HPP’s AND Office tower was awarded with the Commercial Project Award (Future) of Cityscape Global. Out of a total of 190 entries, three projects had been shortlisted in each of the 13 categories.
The international jury states, “A technically excellent example of a future commercial office scheme demonstrating the importance of combining end user occupational requirements with a viable freehold asset. The judges were impressed with the depth of thought and investment in the pre-planning stage made by the entrant.”
In 2012, HPP won the international design competition for the office tower in Istanbul’s Kozyatagi financial district and thereafter opened a new office in the rapidly modernising metropolis on the Bosphorus.
The vertical character of the business centre is emphasised and highlighted by the split-tower design. The long-distance impact of the building, with its light and shadow effects, is a product of the block by block, every two to three storeys alternating triangular façade pillars.
