Die elf Etagen des „Oval“ genannten Wohntowers findet man am Nordufer des Kaiserkais in der Hamburger HafenCity. Die exponierte Lage des Gebäudes bietet einen Ausblick auf Hamburger Innenstadt, Speicherstadt und Hafen. Die ovale Gebäudeform folgt aus einer detaillierten Analyse der lokalen Bedingungen von Wind-, Geräusch- und Sichtbedingungen, auch die Wellenform der Fassaden und Balkone ist nach Kriterien wie Aussicht, Windsituation und Sonnenlichteinfall optimiert.
Jede der 27 Wohneinheiten verfügt über einen Balkon mit Blick aufs Wasser; die Fassaden sind aus Glas und gelochten Paneelen. Je Etage bietet Raum für bis zu drei Wohneinheiten von rund 60 bis 125 m².

The eleven-story residential tower called the "Oval" is located at the northern bank of the Kaiserkai in Hamburg’s HafenCity. In this exposed position the building provides splendid views over Hamburg’s inner city, the Speicherstadt, and the port. The oval shape of the building results from a detailed analysis of the local wind, noise, and sight conditions; similarly, the wave shape of the facades and balconies has been optimized to criteria such as the view, the wind situation, and solar irradiation.
Each of the 27 residential units has a balcony with a view over the water; the facades consist of glass and perforated panels. Each floor provides space for up to three residential units of between 60 and 125 m².
