In 2004 the Hamburg based fashion label closed started its collaboration with PHILIPP MAINZER to realise the first Closed flagship store in downtown Hamburg. Since then, PHILIPP MAINZER has furnished Closed stores and showrooms around the world and has helped shape an unmistakable corporate architecture and establish a distinct global brand reputation for the Hamburg label.
For the Closed store in the centre of Antwerp PHILIPP MAINZER carried out the planning and execution of a new window façade as well as the conceptual and interior design work. The original window front, glazed with multiple panes, was removed entirely and replaced with large scale, room sized seamless glass panels, taking up the complete length of the shop front.
