Swinging Corners by Gut Lewitz

In Progress
“Swinging Corners“ designed for developer Gut Lewitz features 30 apartments within an ensemble of three multi-family residential buildings arranged around a courtyard. Situated on a gently sloped site, the architecture and landscape follow the natural terrain of the Westflügel Riedberg neighborhood. The family-friendly courtyard, which opens up to the East, is accessible by both bike and foot, and includes communal areas, seating and a children’s playground. Beneath, a shared underground parking garage connects the buildings and allows direct access for the flat owners.
The design responds and adapts to the organic forms of the neighborhood’s existing context. This approach offers spatially efficient, high-quality apartments of varying sizes featuring sinuous, curving, and staggered terraces that provide each apartment private access to the outdoors
