Innsbruck, April 7th 2020 – Thilo Ebert, an established expert in the field of building services, has joined the Executive Board of ATP. This means that this increasingly critical discipline is now represented by a specialist in our top management team.

"In our opinion, integrated cooperation is the only logical form of forward-looking building design as well as being a basic prerequisite for the effective use of BIM," explained ATP's Executive Board Chairman, the architect Christoph M. Achammer. "Thilo Ebert is a building services specialist who ambitiously shares our commitment to designing sustainably and, hence, minimizing waste. His interdisciplinary approach and extensive building services expertise represent perfect preconditions for taking our culture of integrated design with BIM to the next level." The other members of the now four-strong ATP top management team are the architect Horst Reiner and the construction engineer Gerald Hulka.

Thilo Ebert has been Professor of Sustainable Building at Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2016 and is a recognized expert in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM). The focuses of his work and research in the areas of building technology and climate-friendly and energy-efficient construction and operation include integrated design solutions, the optimization and quality assurance of planning processes, and improving the cost effectiveness of building services.

"I am convinced that we are currently in a position to assume the proper level of responsibility towards future generations, especially thanks to integrated design with BIM," says the latest member of ATP's Executive Board. "This makes me even more delighted to be able to shape this future as a member of the board of a company that has understood this responsibility for many years."

Thilo Ebert studied building services engineering at the University of Munich (1993). Following a series of leadership roles in international architecture and engineering offices he was Managing Partner of the Ebert Consulting Group, Munich and Vice President of its subsidiary Ebert & Baumann Inc., Washington DC between 2006 and 2013. In these roles he was responsible for the operational implementation of numerous major buildings. His reference projects from the period include the building services planning for the European Central Bank's new building in Frankfurt am Main. As BIM Director and Technical Competence Leader of the engineering company WSP Deutschland AG he was also responsible for implementing the BIM method in the German office and developing core quality management processes.
