Cooperative housing development with 23 homes
The houses are grouped around a green inner courtyard common to all in the manner of the village green or the “Common”, as it was once called. The houses are plain and simple in design, reticent in form and expression. Diversity is achieved by varying the openings: room-high windows and structured ceiling strips articulate the façades. Prefabricated sandwich elements made of fair-faced concrete in a warm, earth tone add a sculptural character to the complex.

Genossenschaftsbau mit 23 Wohnungen
Die Häuser gruppieren sich um einen gemeinsamen grünen Innenhof, wie man es von Weilern bzw. dem sogenannten Anger kennt. Die Baukörper sind in Form und Ausdruck zurückhaltend und schlicht konzipiert. Vielfalt entsteht in der Variation der Öffnungen; raumhohe Fenster und strukturierte Deckenbänder gliedern die Fassaden. Vorgefertigte, erdwarm gefärbte Sichtbeton-Sandwichelemente verleihen der Anlage einen skulpturalen Charakter.
